For the past decade ISC Cairo has been successfully applying the world-renowned SABIS Point System where each objective (called a ‘point’) is taught interactively, alternating oral work, individual written work and group checking. ISC curricula lead to a variety of qualifying standardized external exams such as GCSEs, IGCSEs, AS-Levels & A-levels, TOEFL, SAT I, SAT II and Advanced Placement. Jury-rigged, jerry-built: Maybe a problem?
The word had popped up the week before in The New York Times Magazine article, "The Sleep-Industrial Complex," all about the mattress and pharmaceutical industries. The piece included a reference to a man who was such an enthusiast for Sleep Number Beds that he "jury-rigged something similar for his bulldog." On the subject of exactly how the dog expressed its preference for a particular Sleep Number, the author was silent. Jury-rigging is a term with nautical origins. "Rig" is one of those little words so short that it contains nearly infinite meanings (an early form of nanotechnology). One of its meanings is "the arrangement of masts, sails, etc., on a vessel." In the days of the tall ships, when a vessel on the high seas lost a mast in a storm or a battle, the ship's carpenter would fashion what was known as a jury mast from spare parts down in the hold.

Israelis and their allies in the US administration do not tolerate obstacles - including patriotic US Naval officials who expose their hoaxes. It is disgusting to have this played out again and again and again. They will never be satisfied until they have destroyed all independent nations in the Middle East using American manpower and treasure - and destroying the US economy and Bill of Rights in the process.
Store's crazy credit game
Anyone can get a phone number and do this to someone else, because when they access your account they ask you for your phone number and anyone in the store can hear your number, write it down and use it later without even having to show an ID. The next day, you got a call from a district manager for Game Crazy who was very apologetic. He offered you one of two options: they could issue you a $53 check, or offer a store credit for twice the amount in question, or $106.
Stunned by Lack of Outrage, Not Outrageous Acts
His pure evil no longer surprises me, although there was a time when he routinely stunned me. Torture? Torture?? Not by Congress, either. There was a time when I was stunned by that crowd's sheeplike mentality. I'd hear them decry the war, decry torture, decry Bush's growing deficit, then I'd drop my jaw as they voted time and again to give the president carte blanche. No longer. I fully expect Congress to disappoint, to fail to do its job in balancing the White House power grab. I'm no longer stunned by the politicized courts nor by the media, which is unwilling to offend and uses vague, watered-down language instead of strong condemnations of this, the worst presidency in history. So who continues to stun me? I will tell you.
